Henri-Robert Brésil, born in Gonaïves, Haiti, in 1952, developed an early passion for art, particularly flamingos and landscapes. This fascination greatly influenced his distinctive artistic style. In 1981, his talent was recognized internationally when he was awarded the prestigious Ispan-Unesco prize. Brazil's work has been exhibited in many countries, including Haiti, the United States, Puerto Rico, France, Italy and Switzerland. His work has also been recognized by influential publications such as the New York Times and the Miami Herald.
