Jacques Joseph LECURIEUX (1801-1867) Portrait of a Senior Officer Wearing his Decorations, Including the Insignia of Officer of the Legion of Honor, the Order of Saint Ferdinand of Spain, and the Decoration of the Lily Oil on canvas (repainted), marked on the stretcher in pen "J. LECURIEUX rue Vanneau n°11" and attribution in pen "Gal Lafaurie de Monbadon". 73 x 59 cm A.B.E. (restorations) Jacques Joseph LECURIEUX was a portrait painter and student of Devosge and Guillon Lethière. He exhibited at the Salon between the Restoration and the Second Empire. Awarded medals in 1844 and 1846. Some of his works can be seen at the Château de Versailles.
