One frontispiece and two title-frontispieces in color, and 300 plates, 183 in color after drawings by Xavier-Nicolas WILLEMIN. This important collection of plates on the decorative arts, from the Middle Ages to the end of the Renaissance, is distinguished by its rich iconography. Begun in 1806, the work was completed after Willemin's death in 1833 by his daughter and André Pottier. It was published in fifty issues.
