JAPAN, late 19th CENTURY.
Lot of seven Satsuma stoneware pieces with polychrome and gold decoration, including :
- A large poly-lobed deep dish decorated with several animated scenes of characters in vignettes of different shapes. Mark on the base.
- Two small bowls, one with a poly-lobed rim, decorated with rakan; the other with figures, floral and stylized motifs. Mark on the base.
- A flat-bottomed bowl, decorated with birds and flowers. Mark on the base.
- A tripod circular box with stylized butterflies. Mark on the base.
- Two vases, one with a wide body decorated with rakan and dragon in relief; the other bottle-shaped vase decorated with figures on a stylized background.
