Pair of baluster-shaped table torches, resting on a base with chased contours and applied
applied at intervals with shells and scrolls (riveted), the shafts molded and chased with garlands of flowers and foliage. The bobèches are contoured and clasped, bearing the hallmark of 1752-1753.
Master goldsmith : Louis Joseph Lenhendrick received in 1747.
The torches and wicks bear the coat of arms of Bernard Emmanuel de Roux, fourth Marquis de Puivert (1755-1832).

This sophisticated model is the emblematic work of this silversmith trained in Thomas Germain's workshop. It was produced in three sizes (29.5 cm, 27.5 cm and 25.5 cm high).
