AN ORMULU MOUNTED POWDER BLUE TWO-HANDLED RIBBED PORCELAIN BALUSTER VASE 清代 灑藍釉雙耳瓜棱瓶 China, mid Qing dynasty The vase rests on a short ring foot and has an elongated ribbed egg-shaped body surmounted by a long tubular neck flanked by two kui dragon or phoenix shaped handles. It is all covered with a gradient and vibrating powder blue enamel ranging from light blue tones to dark blue tones. It has been ormulu mounted as a lamp Europe and likely in France during the Napoleon the 3rd period in a rococo / rocaille style. The mount consists of a base, two garlands hanging on the handles as well a mouth piece.
