From 1932 on, Brancusi added a large polishhed steel disc suggesting water and the mirror in which Leda is reflected and her shape modified. Around 1936, Brancusi added a gramophone allowing the sculpture to rotate. For the occasion, he made a series of films and photographs showing Leda's metamorphosis, in a play of light and reflection.
