Picnic kit The case in stingray and silver-plated and formerly enameled metal plates, with dragon decoration, includes a set of chopsticks and a knife with jadeite handle. Total length: 33 cm Provenance: Paul-Emile Naggiar (1883-1961) was a French diplomat who served in China during his career. He was first deputy French consul in Shanghai in 1912, then French consul in Shanghai from 1915 to 1917, and consul general in 1926. He was appointed French Ambassador to China in 1936, a post he held until 1938. During his stays in China, he was able to purchase numerous works of art, which were passed down through his family.
