Oil on canvas, signed and dated on the right side Provenance: Former Belgian private collection (by descent from the model) Léopold Straetmans, born in Canne, Belgium, in 1884, attended the Ecole supérieure de commerce de Louvain and arrived in China in 1906. He began a career in finance. He took on major banking responsibilities in Shanghai. He died in 1955. Original canvas. Good overall condition.
