Sickle, flint blades re-fixed on wood in modern times. An unusually shaped implement of this type is in the Berlin Museum (19475), and a drawing in J.G. Wilkinson, A popular account of the Ancient Egyptians, vol. II, p. 50 (London 1978) shows peasants harvesting with a similar implement in a scene from a Theban tomb.
