Shaouabti head wearing a wig, of which only the frontal part remains. The eyes and eyebrows are finely painted black. Along the cheeks and under the chin, a thin black line represents the attachment of the hairpiece (now gone). Black-painted wood. Minor dents. Egypt, New Kingdom, c. 1550-1069 B.C. H. 3.4 cm. Bears an antique label "RVE du CIRQVE - PARIS (CHAMPS ELYSEES) TELEPHONE : ELYSEES 1.2.44" and an inscription in ink on it "Bois, Datchour, XIIdyn [?]mallon".
