At the age of 18, the artist studied engraving, painting and drawing at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Liège, subsequently producing several paintings inspired by the Belgian Surrealist movement and Magritte in particular. This work was produced during the publication of Red-Beard's "The Phantom Ship". Signed and dated 63. Unframed dimensions: 50 x 70.5.
