Light cavalry officer's saber Model 1822. Very fine blade in its original polished finish marked Manufacture de Chatelleraut Sept 1875 Cavalerie légère Modèle 1822. Decorated brass mounting, filigree brown horn spindle. Single-ring nickel-plated steel scabbard. Total length 107 cm, blade 91.5 cm. A fine example of an officer's knife made by a manufacturer.
