A bronze standard, Luristan, 1000 - 650 B.C.
Perforated, open-worked base flanked by dragon heads and with a two-sided human face on top. Fine, reddish-green patina. Length 12 cm, weight 181.4 g. It includes a rare shaft socket (part of the original?) of hollow cast bronze with interior fasting pin. Length 17 cm, total length 29.5 cm. Cf. Potratz, 1968, Group 2, Form C, as well as the catalogue for the Nasli Heeramaneck Collection, Los Angeles, No. 239.
