A Near Eastern bronze dagger with rim hilt, 11th - 10th century B.C.
Triangular blade with a prominent central ridge. The handle has high rims, a mushroom-shaped pommel at the back and a crescent-shaped "pseudo-clamp" at the bottom, which surrounds the round end of the blade. Grip scales made of organic material once inside the ridges. Dark green patina, minimal nicks on the edge of the blade and the heights of the rims, minor corrosion on the surface, otherwise in excellent condition. Length 41.5 cm. Maximum width 5.4 cm.
