Stereoscopic daguerreotype finely enhanced in color, produced on 2 1/6 quadrangular plates with hammered corners, hallmarked by Henri Baud (HB), 8.7 x 17.1 cm. Colorized by Laure Braquehais, reassembled under the original glass, according to Serge Nazarieff. This is Pauline Sophie Lacroix (1839-1914), first arrested in 1857. She spent a month in Saint-Lazare prison for posing for François Lepage. Often smiling in her photographs, she was one of the most photographed nude models of the 1850s-60s.
