Pair of beechwood chairs, molded and gilded, with flat rectangular back, trapezoidal seat, heavily molded belt resting on tapered legs with curved flutes, mark AM on either side of an anchor surmounted by a closed crown, from the collections of the Duc de Penthièvre; (gilding redone, chips).
Stamped by Georges Jacob, master carpenter in 1765.
