In 1977, young T-Kid was wounded in a gang shooting, narrowly escaping death. Handcuffed to his hospital bed and convalescing for several weeks, he decided to become "Terrible Kid-170". Barely out of the hospital, T-Kid repainted the lines of the New York subway, developing a unique style inspired by pop culture through graffiti lettering enriched with characters. Today, considered one of the spearheads of original graffiti, he continues to exhibit his work around the world.
