Daughter of Alfred Brunel-Neuville, a famous animal painter, she began drawing and painting with her father, and also took classes with Jean-Léon Gérôme and entered the Beaux-Arts. She excelled in delicate cat paintings. A Freemason and member of the French Resistance, she was deported to Ravensbruck, where her drawings bear witness to the living conditions of the deportees.
