Shin hanga (44,5 x 28,5 cm), approx. 1930 Breast portrait of an actor as Taira no Tomomori, Daimotsu scene of the play Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura. The wounded hero, attached to an anchor, plunges into the floods to remain loyal to his clan, Sign.: Kiyotada. Seal: Torii. Deluxe edition with silver print and white mica (white of the armour), blind print (margin), moisture stain at one temple, thin spots in the paper, slightly creased, mica partly flaked off. (363)
