COLETTE (Sidonie Gabrielle Colette, dite) [Saint Sauveur-en-Puisaye, 1873 - Paris, 1954], French novelist.
Set of 7 autograph letters signed, addressed to her friend Dr. Marthe Lamy. Various formats,
all with envelopes. Dated between 1845 and 1852.
A fine, friendly correspondence, Colette also talks about her work, as in one of the 1845 letters: "I had to work, which meant tearing blue page after blue page. Swearing, swearing and languishing". In another letter, she also talks about her health. "For 2 months, no walking, no sunbathing, no work (chic) and no effort".
