Argentine artist Alicia Penalba (1913-1982) is known for her sculptural work. Influenced by the Cubists, Constantin Brancusi and Alberto Giacometti, she created an abstract oeuvre during more than three decades, which included sculptural works as well as a small series of sculptural-looking jewelry.
