Roland Goossens (1937), alias Gos, is a Belgian comic book artist, best known for his Le Scrameustache series. Gos met Peyo in 1962, who gave him the opportunity to learn lettering. In 1965, he took the plunge and left the army to join Studio Peyo, where he assisted the Master on several episodes of "Les Schtroumpfs" and "Benoît Brisefer". At the same time, he produced a number of complete short stories for SPIROU and wrote screenplays for Walthéry: several episodes of "Jacky et Célestin" and the first two adventures of "Natacha, hôtesse de l'air". He even collaborated with Peyo on the conclusion of Franquin's last "Spirou et Fantasio", "Panade à Champignac". In 1969, Tillieux asked him to take over the graphic design of his own "Gil Jourdan". He drew four albums until the creator's death in 1979, and even completed the detective's last unfinished adventure. In 1972, he launched his own series, "Le Scrameustache".
