Publisher's full cobalt-blue percaline boards "with initials". Charles Magnier Relieur. Gilt edges. Blue endpapers. Printed by Gauthier-Villars. Undated "DS" catalog for Magasin d'Éducation et de Récréation. Also included Adventures of three Russians and three Englishmen in Southern Africa by Jules Verne. Illustrations by Férat. Paris, Bibliothèque d'Éducation et de Récréation, J. Hetzel et Cie, sd (1887). Large single in-8°. Publisher's full cobalt-blue percaline boards "with initials". Charles Magnier Relieur. Gilt edges. Blue endpapers. Printed by Gauthier-Villars. Undated "DS" catalog for Magasin d'Éducation et de Récréation. These copies were printed in the same year as Chemin de France (the last title to appear in multiple colors). As is the case 95 times out of 100, the golds on the spine are fully oxidized, and those on the cover only partially so. On the other hand, the hardcovers and book bodies here are extremely fresh! A rare and surprising "pair", but perfect in its kind, especially in this shade!
