Active in Lille since 1842, Le Blondel knew and adapted to all photographic evolutions. Initially a practitioner of the daguerreotype, in color or not, he later turned to albumen before ending his career with a rich production of portrait-cards, which he sold in his various Lille studios. His studio lasted until 1892, almost 20 years after his death.
