Landscape with Pyramus and Thisbe
Landscape with a Dance of Shepherds
Pair of oils on copper in gilded frames.
Louis XIII period.
Each: 16.4 x 22.2 cm.
Our paintings are very close to the art of Jasper van der Lanen. A member of the Antwerp Guild in 1615, this master worked with Abraham Govaerts before taking over his workshop. Our works can be compared with a pair of copperplates of the same format, given to Jasper van der Lanen and sold at Beaussant-Lefèvre on May 28, 2021.
