Born in Hanoi in 1914, Lương Xuân Nhị played a significant role in 20th-century Vietnamese arts. Modernity became a key feature of this work. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of Vietnam, where he obtained a diploma in 1937. He was a member of the Society for Encouragement of Art and industry, which rewarded him with several prizes. Together with To Ngoc Van, Tran Van Can, and Le Van De, he was also one of the founders of FARTA (Foyer de l’art annamite). From 1955 to 1981, Lương Xuân Nhị taught at the Fine Arts University of Indochina. compositions.
