Silver-plated copper filigree spindle. Lion-head pommel with long-tailed cap commemoratively engraved with "M" under a count's crown.
Gilded brass mounting. Three-pronged minor hilt with French coat-of-arms motif, adorned with a "Pour Mon Roy" band and spokes, marked "IHS". Openwork top.
Curved blade with flat back and hollow sides, engraved, gilded and blued in thirds, decorated with trophies of arms and foliage.
Antique but later scabbard with three brass fittings, cut and engraved. Later tie.
With green silk and silver thread passementerie strap. Cord decorated with green thread lizards.
B.E. Late 18th century (worn, reassembled).
