In-12, [3] f., 333 p., Bradel-style boards circa 1900, smooth spine, title page, gilt date on tail, cover and spine preserved (headbands rubbed, sporadic light spotting in margins). First edition, illustrated with an engraved frontispiece by E. Benassit. Amusing autograph letter from the author, accompanied by a drawing: "For the hospitality practiced by Dauphin, the painter Paul Arène offered this fine gift! Un volume broché, couleur caca-Dauphin". - Jean-des-Figues. Paris, Cyral, 1932. In-8, [3] f., 233 p., period green bronze half-maroquin with corners, five-ribbed spine, gilt author, title and date, gilt head, covers and spine preserved (spine unstained). Illustrations by François de Marliave, in color in the text, some full-page. Forms the 37th volume of the publisher's French Collection. Copy on Rive hand-justified "hors-commer" and signed by the publisher.
