Esteemed edition, established and enriched by Denis-François Secousse, and increased by a supplement given by Lenglet Du Fresnoy, which contains the Légende du cardinal de Lorraine, that of Dom Claude de Guise and the Apologie et procès de Jean Chastel, as well as historical, critical and political notes. Illustrations include a frontispiece after Richardon engraved by C.L. Duflos, 16 out-of-text portraits, one of which is repeated, 2 fold-out battle plans, each captioned on a following fold-out leaf, 5 vignettes on headers by Dumont and Bizot.
