1958 MGA COUPE Series: HMA43/36873 Very nice condition Black leather interior French registration Since 1945 and the immediate post-war period, MG T-series models have marked a whole generation of young people and enjoyed immense commercial success. Although evolving over the years, by the mid-50s the overall styling was beginning to look old-fashioned. The company with the octagon reacted, and in 1955, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, two MG "barquettes", prototypes with special bodywork designated EX 182, were raced. A few months later, these cars were seen again in customer versions: the MGA was born. The name MGA was given to symbolize that this was the first car with a truly new design. The design of this car is absolutely magical: it's a racing car on the road. Its styling is much more modern than the T-series cars, which became antiques overnight. The engine was new too, a 1500 with overhead valves and twin carburetors that owed nothing to the famous XPAG. In 1956, the range was completed by a sublime closed version, the line of the roof leaving no one indifferent. The doors are fitted with drop-down windows and deflectors. The coupé is comfortable and very bright, with a large rear window. Only 6.3% of "left-hand drive" MGAs are coupes. In other words, this model is virtually impossible to find. Our example is in very good condition, and the road test revealed no particular problems. The engine runs smoothly, and the car performs well and is a pleasure to drive. Both body and underside are sound and in excellent condition. 1958 MGA COUPE Serial number : HMA43/36873 Very good condition Black leather interior French registration Since 1945 and the immediate post-war period, MG T-series models have marked a whole generation of young people and enjoyed immense commercial success.
