Silk velvet on silk foundation
Salmon-pink field prayer rug decorated with a crenellated mihrab featuring a composition of fine drawn friezes forming crowns, cabochons and stylized hearts surrounded by birds taking flight and polychrome flowering palmettes.
Beautifully balanced double-column frame.
Double spandrels in old gold.
Five borders, the main one in midnight blue, with semis of cartouches and stylized weeping willows.
Density of approx. 9,000 knots per dm2.
