First edition of this political and educational memoir by Dupont de Nemours, followed by Observations by Brissot de Warville, which discusses the measures proposed by Turgot and Necker, and in particular Turgot's theories on taxation. Unsigned copper-engraved frontispiece portrait of the author. Small tear without missing edge of leaf H7, some marginal wetness to last three leaves. Small loss at upper head and worm gallery at one spine.
