MARESTÉ Georges Jules known as Géo MARESTÉ (1875-1940) Study of a seated Pan Set of three drawings on paper, one on tracing paper One monogrammed and one annotated "Pour le Prélude de Pan de Jean Giono". (a few stains, folds, mainly on the tracing paper, and small snags where the staples are located) 31 x 23.8 cm - 26.7 x 20.5 cm Note: Probably a study for the text Prélude de Pan published in Jean Giono's collection Solitude de la pitié. In bibliophily, this book was illustrated by Jean Jansem. A letter dated December 5, 1934 attests to this collaboration between author and artist. The project between Jean Giono and Georges Maresté was therefore aborted.
