Interesting document illustrated with numerous drawings.He succeeded in forming a collection of mica plates and was able to preserve the shape and color of various organisms, plant tissues, "the different kinds of blood globules with their nuclei". He explains his method "for preserving microscopic objects that have been prepared with scrupulous care". He develops his explanation according to 6 tablets: Tablet I "Polygastric infusoria, often with proboscis, naked"; Tablet II "Polygastric infusoria, reproductive organs filled with indigo or carmine blue"; Tablet III "Polygastric infusoria with defined male sexual organs with globular testes"; Tablet IV "Polygastric infusoria armed with teeth"; Tablet V "Rotatory"; Tablet VI "Some microscopic preparations of anatomy and physiology", such as the blood globules of sheep and frogs. He illustrates his demonstration with some forty pencil drawings in the margins and body of the text.
