Maurice BELLONTE (1896-1984) aviator, he made the first non-stop Paris-New York crossing with Dieudonné Costes. 2 autograph manuscripts, [early 1930s]; 12 pages in-4 with erasures and corrections. Attached is a typescript with corrections and autograph notes, [L'Atlantique Nord et l'épopée de Lindbergh]. Also enclosed is a set of 10 autograph notes by Bellonte Two lectures on aerial navigation: Différents procédés de navigation (4 p.) and La navigation des grands raids (8 p., with graphics). Attached is a typescript with corrections and autograph notes, [L'Atlantique Nord et l'épopée de Lindbergh], May 17, 1937 (8 p. in-4), an article about Lindbergh on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his crossing on the Spirit of St. Louis. Plus various documents concerning Lindbergh and the first air crossings of the North Atlantic. Also enclosed is a set of 10 autograph notes by Bellonte, some concerning his various encounters with Costes. Plus a file of typescripts (some corrected) of lectures given by Bellonte in Belgium.
