On the obverse, the coat of arms azure, a chevron or, between 3 garden lilies argent slipped vert.
and on the reverse: TOVT. POVR. DIEV; EXERGUE: 1645. Altar on which a calf is offered in sacrifice.

Claude Bourges was a king's councillor, paymaster of the French treasurers' office in the generality of Orléans, and was elected alderman of Paris on August 17, 1643, a position he held until August 16, 1645. He had been appointed Conseiller de Ville as early as 1631.
