Beautiful manuscript on paper, text finely written in black ink with 23 lines per page in gilded frames. Double frontispiece finely illuminated in polychrome and gilded. Sura titles on gilded background. Colophon signed Mustafa al-Shukri and dated 1252H./1836-37. The text continues with a finely illuminated circular hilye. Waqf marks in the margins. Bound in red leather with stamped decoration.

The colophon indicates Mustafa al-Shukri, court secretary (mahkeme) at Kütahya, pupil of Muhammad al-Hamdi (Mehmed Hamdi), known as Kirdeci-zade, in 1252 (1836-37).
