Ceroferous angel in bronze cast in the round, carved, engraved and gilded. Standing, he holds a pike pole in both hands; short hair with horizontal fringe and curls at the temples; he is clad in a mantle surrounding his arms, one flap of which returns to the front, forming stepped V-shaped folds on one side and an inverted cone-shaped fall on the other; terrace depicting a ribbed leaf with edges indented into four lobes. Circa 1300 Total height 10.3 cm (right wing redone) This angel had a counterpart, probably placed on either side of a reliquary. Several of these angels, around ten centimeters in size, are known in public collections, most of them from Parisian production; however, many have lost their attributes, which is not the case with this one, which has retained not only its luminary but also its period base.
