Madame Yannick Vu has confirmed the authenticity of this work.
In the 1920s, the Ycre family created the Dock des Alcools company, specializing in the manufacture and sale of industrial and synthetic alcohols. The Ycre family's friendship with Vu Cao Dam is attested in the 1940s by a greetings card for 1943, in which Vu Cao Dam hopes to introduce his daughter Yannick to the Ycre couple, and by the present work, dedicated to Fernand Ycre and dated 1941.
