Oil on canvas signed lower left in Cyrillic characters by the artist, dated 1903, preserved in its fine original carved and gilded wood frame with foliage decoration signed by Konrad Barth in Munich & Comp (1840-1924).
The back bears the label of the Coburg Palace collection: "N°033, Coburg Kaiser Hous amift with fall with".
Restorations, but overall good condition.

Provenance: former collection of Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia (1853-1920), only daughter of Tsar Alexander II, who married Prince Alfred of Great Britain (1844-1900), son of Queen Victoria, on January 14, 1874. In 1893, Prince Alfred became the last sovereign of the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, under the title of Alfred I. This work was located in Coburg Palace (Germany), residence of the sovereigns of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha until the end of the 19th century.
Coburg and Gotha until 1920. It was then inherited by the couple's third child, Princess Victoria-Melita (1876-1936) of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
