(1851), in-16 with 55 woodcuts in the text, cherry half-chagrin, ribbed spine decorated with gilt stippling, double black fillet framing on the chagrined cloth boards (period binding). Fourth edition. The first edition, from 1835, is extremely rare. The work is original not only for the figures giving most of the shooting positions, but also because part of them is devoted to hunting accidents, and the gestures to be made or avoided to prevent the weapon from discharging unintentionally, which was a rare preoccupation at the time.
