18- [SALES CATALOG]. - Library of M. le baron de Lassus. Precious illustrated books from the 15th, 16th and 18th centuries, and works on hunting. 15th-century miniature manuscript. Sold after death, March 25, 1955. S.l. [Paris], 1955, in-8, 70 issues described, with a few black reproductions in the text, paperback with illustrated cover. Auction price and often the name of the successful bidder noted in the margins. These are the collections of Marc-François-Marie de Lassus (1881-1954), infantry captain, son of Marie-Marc de Lassus-Bizous and Claire Françoise de Gassaud, who had inherited the possessions and library of his half-brother, the Pyreneanist Bertrand de Lassus (1868-1909). A keen hunter, he enriched this already remarkable collection with numerous books on hunting. Part of this library was sold after his death, at Hôtel Drouot in 1955, by Maître Maurice Rheims assisted by Mme Vidal-Megret. Kaps, p. 48.
