"THE "PEUGEOT LION
The Revue Peugeot of 1925 introduced the new "Lion Peugeot" mascot with the slogan "Signe de ralliement de tous les peugeotistes". It was Lucien Rosengart, then Managing Director, who, on his appointment, drew attention to an important detail: the Peugeot Lion, symbol of success and combat, would henceforth raise its head (Extract from the newspaper Inter-Auto-n° 571, September 27, 1956).
The sculpture was the work of sculptor M.Marx.
