A lozenge-shaped kuot shield, whose embossed patterns on the surface of the leather bear witness to a veritable work of material and texture. Fluid, asymmetrical patterns enhanced with kaolin reinforce the organic dimension of this shield. The Luo people live in the Nyanza province, east of Lake Victoria.
