Oil on canvas. 48.4 x 60.6 cm (canvas), 68.0 x 80.0 cm (frame). Signed lower right: Otto Pippel (oil), inscribed on the reverse: Otto Pippel Planegg. Capri 1934 (oil) as well as an original adhesive label (probably by the artist), thereon again inscribed and titled. Framed.
Not de-framed. In some places, especially on the right edge, minor color flaking. Provenance: The original owner of the picture was the owner of the G. L. Schmogrow canvas weaving mill founded in Cottbus in 1848. He bequeathed the picture to his manager Heinz Weissflog for good and loyal service. After the former's death in 2009, he left the painting to his nephew, who, in turn, passed it on to his son.
