Biography :
Claude Charles Etienne Hernoux (1797-1861). Naval officer, Captain, aide-de-camp to Prince de Joinville. He was chief of staff during the Belle-Poule expedition, and in practice commanded the ship. Commander of the Legion of Honor in 1847.
