Letter from Alfred Ernst (adaptor of the French version) "to Hans Sachs - Beyle, who interpreted Richard Wagner's creation with such simplicity, truth and emotion. In memory of December 30, 1896". Bound with an original photograph of Gaston Beyle as Hans Sachs and a L.A.S. from Alfred Ernst to Gaston Beyle on the Lyon performance of Les Maîtres chanteurs.
- Another copy of Les Maîtres chanteurs in a French version by Victor Wilder. In-4, ½ brown morocco with corners with metal plate on upper cover: "to Mr. G. Beyle / the Le Dauphiné company / February 22, 1896".
