Head of a boy with thick symposia bandage. Roman imperial period, ca. 1st century A.D. H 14,5cm. White, fine crystalline marble. The boy's head, still clearly equipped with "baby fat", probably comes from a moving figure, because a turn of the head to the left at the base of the neck is clearly visible. In the curly, medium-length hair lies a thick, round wreath, as it can be worn by symposiastes, but also priests. Nose flattened and part of the bandage above the forehead broken, broken in the neck. Ex Gorny & Mosch auction 287, Munich 2022, lot 78; ex collection G., France, 1990 - 2010. Acquired at Drouot, Paris.
