Corinthian exaleiptron with omega handle. Late Corinthian II, late 6th century BC. H 6cm, L with handle 17,1cm, ø 14,3cm. With copy of the publication! Few tiny chips, small scratches, otherwise intact. From the Dr. Meyer-Struckmann Foundation, acquired before 1985. Published in H. Froning, Kunstwerke der Dr. Meyer-Struckmann Stiftung - 200 Jahre Trinkhaus & Burkhardt (1985) p. 140 no. 47. Today, the term exaleiptron is predominantly used for this type of vase, in which the unusually inwardly curved rim allowed the liquid to swirl. Especially in the older literature, however, the terms kothon and plemochoe are also used. see I. Scheibler, JdI 79, 1964, p. 72 ff; this, AA 1968, p. 389 ff; W.
